Home Services

Home services are for the general public who require the assistance of an IT expert to rectify problems with their home PC.  Having been in IT for 30 years and delivered these services to friends, family and businesses I am well versed in all kinds of issues and solutions.

What I do not do

While I can advise on purchases, I do not however sell or repair hardware.  I also have limited experience with Apple products.  I do not sell software packages, but will rather advise you on where to go and what to get if I know.

Where I am strong

  • PC MOT: Remove  adware, viruses, bloat ware, and generally leave your PC in much better shape

  • REMOTE SUPPORT: I use team viewer to allow me to connect to your machine with your permission so I can talk you through issues, apply fixes etc without needing me to carry out a site visit.

  • SOFTWARE ASSISTANCE: A lot of products can be confusing to the uninitiated.  If you haven't got any handy grandchildren available, I'll show you how to you your email, explain Facebook, word processing, skype your family - anything.  And I promise I won't be rolling my eyes while doing it.

  • TRAINING:  I am an expert in many applications, to the point that I have used their programming languages.  Whether you want to go into depth or do some tricky things with the likes of the Microsoft packages (word, excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, MS Access) , Google cloud, scripting, web design, consolidating multiple email addresses etc.  I have worked with most office applications and where I haven't, could probably work it out.

  • PURCHASING ADVISE:  I can use mu analysis skills to help you come to the right decision on a purchase.  Deciding on what laptop to buy, can you do without buying MS Office, alternative products that are free etc.

  • USE OF MODERN SOLUTIONS:  I will advise and set up ways of working that deliver disaster recovery and security to you.  Additionally I can help you set up integration between your phone, computer, TV, Tablet and other internet devices.
